Losing CTRL Post Two! I hope everyone is having an AWESOME wednesday. I wanted to bring everything back to basics for this next post… or should I say …  back to the couch! Me and “Matt” were having a discussion just like this a few days ago. Thought we could use it xD. Leave a comment if you like it!

Additional Context:

Nate’s second comic was a pretty bog-standard return to genre form. What do you know, it has two gamers on a goddamn couch! We can see, however, the comic trying to gain its own identity – doing a similar thing that many do during the very beginning of their comics to find their own ideas. His self-reflection is shockingly on display here, but doesn’t really go anywhere. This theme of joking self-deprecation, (that absolutely refuses to go any further,) will be a mainstay of Nate’s future work.

Similarly to the first day – there are almost no Nate Archives of his activity when he posted on the third. However, I distinctly remember a Nate post a few weeks later talking about how during this first week, he was balancing a couple of ideas for new characters and a more fleshed out world, something he had been doing with ‘Matt’ for a little while before, during, and after New Years.

Here, Nate is displaying his first consistent post schedule and is delivering on his promise. It is assumed that he was doing some small amount of self promo around the time of this second upload, but we don’t have any records or saved posts. It wasn’t until the next two weeks, and the latter half of January in which he would begin to do a massive slate of self promo – which would lead him into some trouble.
