Nate’s Description

And there we have it… two whole weeks and a resolution kept! My word carries power… LOL. Two weeks of LosingCTRL is soooo much. Huge thanks to some of my “fans” noah, grethacrator, polyh, you guys are the best! Thanx for all the comments! 😀 If I can make it through these past two weeks, who KNOWS what well be able to do! Ill just keep posting. A lot of friends are already giving up on their resolutions lol. Oh welllll. Hope you enjoy this one!

It’s a little funny to me now that we can watch Nate celebrating 2 weeks of regular updates when hindsight is 20/20 and we know now that updating would become a form of therapy for Nate later on in the year. There’s a sense of innocence here that I dread to see disappear as he continues to post, but I suppose that’s the nature of growing up, even if you do it a few years too late.

There’s not much to say surrounding the meta on this one. Noah [noahskeletor,] grethacrator, [I couldn’t verify this username,] and polyh [polyh on a few forums,] were individuals who to my knowledge commented on his site. If that’s not true, it’s possible that these were the three people who had actually responded to his early forum advertisements, as sparse as they were in January. Beyond that, same old same old. It wasn’t until much later that Nate revealed anything of interest from his own life around this period of time. His time with Matt was normal, college hadn’t let back in just yet, and I’m assuming he spent a lot of this time playing games and spent about the right amount of time online. Although many of the forums are now gone, there’s a chance that some are still out there. If anyone finds any, please hit my inbox — I’ll be adding more context as I reach back out to a few people, but help is always appreciated.

As we’re hitting the two week mark of my own New Year’s Resolution, I’ve realized that it’s probably time to start uploading Nate’s comics to a more public platform. This week, I’ll add links to various social media accounts for this project to a new tab in the menu, and include them in that day’s description. Of course, I’ll still upload the comics here as the main Losing+CTRL hub, but a friend pointed out that we’re living in the “InstaXblr Age” as she put it. I’ll upload the previous 6 comics in a batch, but every other comic will be uploaded and linked to this site on the same schedule as these posts. Maybe the news will even reach some old GnatWatch members still hovering around online. It’s probably better if it doesn’t. Well Nate, here’s to both of us for lasting two weeks into the New Year on uploading your comics. Cheers!
